There will be two more drive-thru food pantries coming up in our area next week.
The Salvation Army with cooperation of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York will be putting on these food pantries in Saratoga Springs and Greenwich.
The first, on Tuesday, May 5th, will be at the Pine Grove Church Parking Lot, located at 59 Pine Road at the intersection of State Route 29 in the city of Saratoga Springs. The second, on Thursday, May 7th, will be at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich.
The Saratoga Springs food drive will open at 10AM, and the Greenwich drive will begin at 11AM. Both will remain open while supplies last.
Those in need of food supplies will begin the drive-thru by meeting up with a personnel from the Salvation Army, who will register the number of adults and children who will need the food. The recipients will then drive through as representatives of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York load the supplies into the passenger’s car. Those representatives will be adhering to CDC recommendations, wearing a face mask or covering, handling supplies with food and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day through sanitation procedures.
